Well, after the first of this year, to give myself a nice present because things have gone so well on the job, I bought another 1/12 Mustang which was in near excellent shape for it's age now. I also once had their '56 Corvette in that scale, and the '65 Mustang convertible.Ī few years ago, I sold the 'Vette on eBay to a fellow in Great Britain who paid nearly twice what I bought it for (around $500)! I had also sold the Mustang, and regretted getting rid of it not long after.
One of my faves that I've had since it was new is they're 1/12 scale '57 Chevy Convertible, which just about does everything except start up and run. Danbury Mint are not aware of how frustrated customers get with no reply to emails etc, may be customer services needs bit more training although as I said before person Ispoke to was very helpful.Harry, that is one GORGEOUS '56 Buick!! I have a number of Danburys myself, and I'm a fan of diecast if they're not clunky and the shape is right. AlsoI was chased for payment when I had in fact paid eventually this was dealt with. woudl porobably given Danbury Mint benefit of the doubt and this was just a one off. When the plate did arrive was disappointed as what not up to the standard I had expected. I was concerned that it was getting closer to xmas and was told the plate would arrive before xmas. I did call customer services and they were very helpful so no complaints there. I used Danbury Mint for first time to purchase a Liverpool Plate for my partner for xmas, there was a long delay in getting the plate and just arrived before, I did receive updates on why there where delays apparently due to first batch that were received being rejected as not acceptable by Danbury Mint, cannot confirm whether this was fact.
